Mermay - May 31st, queen

Finalmente sono riuscita, anche se in ritardo, a terminare la mia creazione per l'ultima tappa del PolymerMay, quella che ho atteso più di tutte, dedicata alle regine, tema che mi ha particolarmente ispirata. Ho realizzato una sirena delicata ed eterea, che immagino nuotare con grazia ed eleganza regali negli abissi più profondi. 

Ho colto l'occasione anche per utilizzare, per la prima volta, i colori Swellegant con cui ho dato alla cornice una particolare finitura che la fa sembrare un oggetto appena recuperato dal fondo del mare: fantastici!

Finally I was able to finish my creation for the last stage of the PolymerMay, the one that I looked forward to more than all the others, dedicated to the queens, a theme that particularly inspired me. I made a delicate and ethereal mermaid, that I imagine swimming with royal grace and elegance in the deepest abysses.

I also took the opportunity to use, for the first time, the Swellegant colors with which I gave the frame a particular finish that makes it look like an object just recovered from the bottom of the sea: amazing! 

Mermay - May 20th/25th, darkness and light

Siamo ormai in giugno inoltrato e finalmente riesco a mostrarvi anche qui sul blog queste due creazioni, le sirene del #polymermay20 ispirate ai temi della luce e dell'oscurità, tappe del 20 e 25 maggio. Con queste piccoline(alla fine solo con la prima a dire il vero)ho partecipato anche ad un contest indetto da petite3d, lo store da cui provengono(insieme a tanti altri) gli stampi che ho usato per le cornici e i supporti(questi ultimi sono una bella novità che d'ora in avanti sarà disponibile per tutti i miei quadretti in modo da poterli usare anche come soprammobili e non solo da appendere). Sono particolarmente soddisfatta di queste creazioni perchè anche lo sfondo è interamente "dipinto" in paste polimeriche: ho ancora molto da imparare e trovare modo di sperimentare è sempre un bene. Vi anticipo che purtroppo non ho vinto(eliminata al secondo turno, si trattava di sfide due a due e sono stata particolarmente sfortunata nel secondo confronto, la creativa con cui ero in sfida ha più di 40 volte i miei followers su instagram ed è praticamente un'istituzione nell'ambiente quindi avevo ben poche speranze!), ma è stato bello comunque partecipare, si imapara tanto anche da queste esperienze ^_^

Ora basta con le chiacchiere, ditemi cosa ne pensate.

We are now in June and finally I can show you here on the blog these two creations, the #polymermay20 mermaids inspired by the themes of light and darkness, 20th and 25th May steps. With these little ones (in the end only with the darkness one) I also participated in a contest organized by petite3d, the store from which (together with many others) the molds that I used for frames and supports come (these latter are a nice news: from now on they will be available for all my pictures so you can use them as ornaments and not just for hanging). I am particularly satisfied with these creations because the background is entirely "painted" in polymer clay: I still have a lot to learn and finding a way to experiment is always good. Unfortunately I have not won (eliminated in the second round, they were  two by two challenges and I was particularly unlucky in the second one, the artist with whom I was in challenge has more than 40 times my followers on Instagram and is practically an institution in the environment so I had very little hope!), but it was nice to participate anyway, there is always a lot to learn from these experiences ^ _ ^

Now it's enough with the chatter, tell me what you think about my new mermaids!

Sapevate che la versione che ci hanno insegnato da piccoli di questa filastrocca è sbagliata? La versione corretta sembra reciti "tre civette sul comò che facevano timore alla figlia del dottore"... quando si dice che ti crollano delle certezze! 😂

L'anno scorso realizzai una scultura molto elaborata che comprendeva(la trovate qui), tra gli altri personaggi, questo Bianconiglio che mi è stato chiesto di riprodurre da solo come ciondolo. Io lo adoro!

Last year I made a very elaborate sculpture that included, among other characters, this White Rabbit that I was asked to reproduce as a pendant. I love it!

Do you remember Spank? He inspired me so much sympathy, so funny and awkward! I loved him!
