Se lo sposo è un po' nerd...

Un ritorno al mio vecchio stile per questi sposini di qualche mese fa: mi è stato espressamente chiesto di realizzarli come nei miei primi topper, un po' più "fumettosi", e direi che la scelta ben si addice alla simpatica scena che hanno voluto rappresentassi, uno sposino super-nerd e una sposina che cerca disperatamente di tirarlo via dal pc...mmmm questa scena mi è un po' familiare...

A return to my old style for these newlyweds I made a few months ago: I was expressly asked to make them as in my first cake toppers, a little more "cartoonish", and I must say the choice is well suited to the nice scene they wanted me to represent, a super-nerdy groom and a bride trying desperately to get him far from the pc ... mmmm this scene is a bit familiar to me ...

Nuovi sposini, nuovo stile

Mi è stato chiesto di realizzare un cake topper nuziale in uno stile un po' diverso dal mio solito e devo dire che ho adorato il risultato finale, in foto non rendono bene ma dal vivo sono carinissimi(evviva la modestia, eheheh). Non ci crederete ma stavolta la parte più complicata da realizzare è stata l'abito dello sposino per il quale ho cercato di rendere al meglio l'effetto del tessuto damascato blu: dite che sono riuscita nell'intento? 

I was asked to make a wedding cake topper in a style that is slightly different from my usual one and I loved the final result, in the pics they don't look as good as they are, so  cute! This time the most complicated part to make was the groom's suit for which I tried to replicate the effect of the blue damask fabric: do you think I succeeded in doing it?

 

Un matrimonio speciale

Speciale perchè per me ha rappresentato un po' il ritorno alla "normalità", quella che prima della pandemia ho sempre dato per scontata e che solo durante il lockdown ho imparato davvero ad apprezzare.

Finalmente si torna a stare insieme (sempre con tutte le dovute cautele, soprattutto nei luoghi chiusi e se si è in tanti, mi raccomando!!!) e si possono celebrare di nuovo i momenti speciali con i propri cari. 

Via libera ai matrimoni quindi, evviva!

This is a special wedding for me because it represents the return to "normal life", the one that, before the pandemic, I always took for granted and  I really learned to appreciate only during the "lockdown".

Finally we can stay together again (always with all due caution, especially in closed places and if there are a lot of people, I recommend!!!) and we can celebrate special moments with our loved ones. 

Green light for weddings therefore, cheers!

Karate e chitarra

Un'altra coppia di simpatici sposini, lui carabiniere appassionato di chitarra, lei di karate...non si scappa da una cintura nera, no no!
Inutile dire che la parte più complicata da realizzare è stato l'abito della sposina, con tutti quei ricami, ho impiegato una vita!

Another newlyweds couple, he is a guitar enthusiast, she is a karate passionate... you can't get away from a black belt, sure you don't!
No need to say the most complicated part to make was the bride dress, with all those embroideries, I spent so much time to realize them!

Ultimo topper e...grandi annunci!

Ed ecco l'ultimo cake topper sposi di quest'anno e, probabilmente, anche di quello a venire: la famiglia si allarga, il nuovo membro sarà dei nostri in primavera e quindi penso proprio che perderò la prossima stagione dei matrimoni. Pazienza! Come ha detto una delle amiche di Facebook, sono in piena modalità w.i.p. e per uno dei capolavori della mia vita(l'altro si è appena addormentato dopo un pomeriggio passato a bighellonare col papà) ^_^ .

And here it is the last wedding cake topper for this year and, probably, also for the one to come: the family goes wide, the new member will be among us in spring and so I think I will lose the next wedding season. Not so bad! As one of my Facebook friends said, I am totally in w.i.p. mode and for one of the masterpieces of my life (the other one has just fallen asleep after an afternoon spent playing with her dad) ^_^ .

Spero comunque di riuscire a lavorare a qualcosa di nuovo ogni tanto, vedremo... ;)

I still hope to be able to work on something new every now and then, we will see ... ;)

La neve

E' il tema scelto da questi sposini per il loro matrimonio e nel cake topper hanno voluto tanti elementi che la richiamassero con in più due special guests, i loro dolci cuccioloni.
Realizzare questo cake topper mi ha portato via un bel po' di tempo, per i tanti dettagli(dallo snowboard ai ricami dell'abito della sposa), per trovare la soluzione più adatta a far stare tutto in piedi(essere ingengneri ogni tanto aiuta, eheheh), per i cagnolini(non sono molto brava a rappresentare gli animali e ogni volta impiego un sacco di tempo, faccio mille modifiche, non sono mai soddisfatta). Alla fine penso che ne sia venuto fuori un bel lavoro: voi che ne dite?

Snow is the theme chosen by these newlyweds for their wedding and in the cake topper they wanted a lot of elements that recalled it, plus two special guests, their cuddly puppies.
Making this cake topper has taken me away a lot of time, for all the details (from snowboard to bridesmaid embroidery), to find the best solution to keep it all up (being an engineer occasionally helps, eheheh ), for the puppies (I'm not very good in representing animals and when I have to do it I spend a lot of time, I make so many changes, I'm never satisfied). In the end, I think I have done a good job, don't you agree?

Citazione cinematografica per questo cake topper ispirato ad una celebre sequenza di "Pulp fiction": già mi immagino la torta entrare in scena sulle note di "You never can tell" mentre gli sposi si cimentano nel ballo di Uma Thurman e John Travolta!

Una sposina che ama essere alla moda e uno sposo appassionato di calcio per questo topper, l'ultimo prima delle mie vacanze.

Ci rileggiamo dopo la festa di compleanno della mia cucciola(a proposito, tra nottate insonni e ore rubate a tutto il resto, sono riuscita a terminare cake topper e bomboniere...vedrete!).
