Mermay - May 10th, goldfish

Il tema del Polymermay per la tappa del 10 maggio è stato il pesce rosso: cosa farebbe una sirenetta se costretta a vivere in una boccia per pesci rossi? Io credo proprio che si sentirebbe in prigione...dite che con lei sono riuscita a rendere quest'idea?

The Polymermay theme for May 10th was goldfish: what would a little mermaid do if forced living in a goldfish bowl? I really think she would feel in prison ... do you think I was able to make this idea with her?

Mermay - May 5th, jellyfish

Il secondo tema del Polymermay erano le meduse e io ho realizzato questo ciondolino: lo trovo delicato ed elegante, voi che ne dite? vi piace?

The second theme of the Polymermay were jellyfish and I made this little pendant: I think it is delicate and elegant, isn't it?

Ancora una sfida creativa, stavolta di NobuHappySpooky: riprodurre una sua illustrazione ma con un elemento in più. Bisognava aggiungere, infatti, qualcosa che uscisse fuori dal cappello del simpatico maghetto e io ho scelto un arcobaleno perchè, ora più che mai, è simbolo di speranza, la speranza che andrà tutto bene e torneremo presto ad essere vicini come prima.

Another creative challenge, this time by NobuHappySpooky: to reproduce one illustration of his but adding an element. In fact, it was necessary to add something caming out from the wizard's hat and I have chosen a rainbow because, now more than ever, it is a symbol of hope, the hope that everything will be fine and we will soon return to be as close as we used to be.

Un draghetto

Un piccolo cammeo con un simpatico draghetto dai grandi occhioni: vi piace? In foto non si nota ma la base è ricoperta da un pigmento olografico che dà davvero un effetto fantastico.

A small cameo with a cute little dragon with big eyes: do you like it? The base is covered by a holographic pigment that really makes a terrific effect.

Un dolce angioletto

Ecco un altro ciondolo realizzato da molto ma non ancora pubblicato qui sul blog: un angioletto in rosa, particolare e ispirato a un dipinto dell'artista Chanelle Kotze.

Here it is another pendant made from a long time but not yet published on the blog: a little angel in pink, inspired by a painting by the artist Chanelle Kotze.

Mermay - May 1st, mermaids and flowers

Quest'anno ho deciso di partecipare anch'io all'iniziativa denominata "Mermay", combinazione delle parole mermaid(sirena) e may(maggio). L'iniziativa prevede che nel mese di maggio, in giorni stabiliti, si pubblichi sul proprio profilo instagram la foto di una creazione dal tema principale le sirene e secondario di volta in volta dettato dal calendario dell'evento. Tra i tanti Mermay lanciati ho scelto quello di una collega polimerista, nadia_mnemoriesworkshop, per diversi motivi: anzitutto perchè si tratta di un PolyMerMay, cioè di un'iniziativa pensata proprio per le creazioni in paste polimeriche, in secondo luogo perchè il calendario non è troppo fitto(ve ne sono alcuni che prevedono una pubblicazione al giorno e per me sarebbe impossibile rispettarli)e infine, ma cosa forse più importante, perchè lei è una collega speciale di un gruppo speciale cui cerco di star dietro come meglio posso, considerando gli altri miei mille impegni. 

Bene, penso di aver chiacchierato fin troppo, eccovi quindi la mia prima sirena, il tema del giorno 1 erano i fiori e io ho pensato subito alle ninfee: che ne dite? Ho aggiunto un tocco di resina per dare l'effetto dell'acqua e un po' di profondità al quadretto.

This year I decided to take part in the initiative called "Mermay", a combination of the words mermaid and may. The initiative expects that in May, on set days, you have to publish on your Instagram profile a photo of a creation which main theme are mermaids and secondary one is dictated by the calendar of the event. Among the many Mermays launched, I've chosen the one by a clayer colleague, nadia_mnemoriesworkshop, for several reasons: first of all because it is a PolyMerMay, that means it is an initiative designed specifically for polymer clay creations, secondly because the calendar is not too much busy(there are some that expect a publication a day and it would be impossible to me to respect) and last but not least, because Nadia is a special colleague of a special group which I try to keep up with as best I can, considering all my others commitments.

Well, I think I talked too much, so here it is my first mermaid, the theme of day 1 was "flowers" and I immediately thought about water lilies. I added a touch of resin to give the water effect and a little depth to the picture.
