Love, love, love...

Della serie "riuscire a terminare le creazioni pensate per San Valentino quando ormai è Pasqua..."
Mi rassegno al fatto che la mia vita da "fimoleggiatrice" non sarà mai al passo con i tempi e gli eventi del mondo che mi circonda, ma li rincorre, a volte li raggiunge, molto spesso no, ma pazienza! L'importante è riuscire sempre a fare qualcosa che amo, che mi piace e mi fa stare bene.
E poi, l'amore va celebrato ogni giorno, no? ^_^
I piccoli protagonisti di questi quadretti-gioiello sono ispirati alle illustrazioni di Ato Recover, deliziose e dolcissime, una scoperta recente, adorabili!

Of the series "to be able to finish works I designed for Valentine's Day when it is Easter ..."
I resign myself to the fact that my life as a polymer clay "artist" will never be up to date with the times and events of the world all around me, but runs after them, sometimes reaches them, more often do not, but never mind! The important thing is to be able to do something I love, which I like and makes me feel good, always.
And then, love has to be celebrated every day, right? ^ _ ^
The little protagonists of these squares-jewel are inspired to Ato Recover illustrations, delicious and sweet, a recent discovery, adorable!

Prima comunione e coccinelle

Ovvero il cake topper che nacque due volte...
Non è insolito che qualcosa vada storto in una delle fasi di preparazione di un cake topper, soprattutto durante quella delicatissima della cottura, e purtroppo in questa occasione le cose non sono affatto filate lisce...
Per non annoiarvi troppo vi dico che quello in foto è il secondo che ho realizzato, lavorandoci un'intera nottata dopo aver visto il primo praticamente ribaltarsi nel forno con conseguente rottura delle balze del vestitino e dell'acconciatura...non sono scoppiata in lacrime ma quasi!
Armata di tanta pazienza ho ricominciato, ingegnandomi di più per aumentare la stabilità della statuina(grandina e anche abbastanza pesante, nonostante abbia cercato di "alleggerirne" l'interno) riuscendo infine a terminare il lavoro con successo.
La protagonista del topper è una bimba che farà la sua prima comunione in giugno e la cui festa sarà popolata da coccinelle portafortuna; ho cercato di riprodurne il vestitino quanto più fedelmente possibile, spero le piacerà.

Or the cake topper that was born twice...
It is not unusual that something goes wrong in one of the delicate preparation stages of a cake topper, especially while it is cooking, and unfortunately this time it was a small disaster... 
I don't want to bore you too much so I only tell you that the cake topper in the picture is the second one I made, working on it a whole night after seeing the first one tipping over in the oven...I didn't burst into tears, but almost! 
Armed with patience I started again, trying to find a way to increase the stability of the girl(quite tall and heavy, although I had tried to "lighten" it) and finally being able to finish the job successfully.
The protagonist of the cake topper is a little girl who will receive her first communion in June and whose party will be full of ladybirds; I tried to reproduce her dress as faithfully as possible, I hope she will like it.

Sulla base ci sono delle minuscole coccinelle che richiamano quelle destinate ai portaconfetti per gli invitati. Ne ho realizzata anche una extralarge per decorare il cesto che li conterrà tutti.

On the basis there are some tiny ladybugs like those I made for the guests. I have also made an extra large one to decorate the basket that will contain them all.

Con questo lavoro ho "inaugurato" ufficialmente la stagione dei cake topper: i prossimi che ho in "lista" sono tutti per i mesi estivi quindi prima di iniziare a lavorarci mi concederò qualche giorno di pausa per dedicarmi a dei progetti-studio che ho in sospeso da un bel po' di tempo.
Spero di riuscire a mostrarvi presto i risultati ^_^

With this work I have officially "opened"  the cake topper season: the next ones in my "list" are all to be done for summer months so, before starting them, I will give me a few days off  to dedicate myself to some projects I left incomplete .
I hope to show you the results soon. ^_^

A volte ritornano...

I ciondoli che vi mostro oggi sono la riproduzione di due creazioni cui ho lavorato un paio di anni fa, Biancaneve e Marilyn Monroe versione pin up.
Stavolta, però, oltre ai ciondoli grandi, di circa 7 cm, ne ho realizzate anche le versioni mini-chibi di circa 4 cm, e devo dire che le trovo adorabili(soprattutto la mini Marilyn)!
Voi quali preferite?

Today I'm going to show you some pendants that are the reproduction of two creations I worked on a couple of years ago, Snowhite and Marilyn Monroe, pin-up version. 
This time, however, in addition to the large pendants, about 7 cm tall, I have made the mini-chibi version ones, about 4 cm tall, and I must say I find them adorable(especially the mini Marilyn)!
Which ones do you prefer?

Wonder woman

Tempo fa avevo in programma di realizzare un intero set di ciondoli con tutti i supereroi più famosi e i rispettivi antagonisti...poi ho abbandonato l'idea per le solite ragioni, ripromettendomi di lavorarci prima o poi...
Be', questo ciondolino può considerarsi un inizio, no? E un gran bell'inizio direi, una supereroina!

Some time ago I planned to make a whole set of pendants with all the most famous superheroes and villains ... then I dropped the idea for the usual reasons, promising me to work on it sooner or later ...
Well, this small pendant can be considered a beginning, right?

Cartoons!

Una serie di ciondoli, di circa 4 cm l'uno, ispirata ad alcuni dei cartoni che ho più amato nella mia infanzia, da Creamy(in assoluto la mia preferita) a Pollon, passando per Spank e Lamù.
Del piccolo Ten c'è anche una versione più grande, montata su un portachiavi.

A series of pendants, about 4 cm each, inspired by some of the cartoons that I loved the most in my childhood, from Creamy (my absolute favorite) to Pollon, through Spank and Lamù.
There is also a larger version of the little Ten, for a key chain.

Fairy Tales, again

Tempo fa ho acquistato delle basi cammeo tonde, di circa 2 cm di diametro, perfette da montare una accanto all'altra per farne dei bracciali. Ero in attesa di qualche idea carina su come "riempirle" e qualche giorno fa mi sono detta "perchè non fiabe, di nuovo?". Certo non brillerò per originalità, ma, dopo aver visto con la mia piccoletta il cartone della Sirenetta e aver finalmente trovato il tempo di guardare qualche puntata della quarta stagione di Once Upon A Time(vi ho già detto di essere una nerdissima series-addicted, vero?), non ho saputo resistere.

Ed ecco, quindi, i protagonisti, buoni e cattivi, delle storie di Pinocchio, Ariel e Alice. Che ne dite?

Some time ago I bought few round cameo bases, about 2 cm in diameter, perfect to make bracelets. I was waiting for some cute ideas on how to "fill" them and a few days ago I said to myself "why not fairy tales, again?". Certainly I will not be very original, but, after seeing with my little girl Disney's The Little Mermaid and having finally found the time to watch some episodes of the fourth season of Once Upon A Time (Have I already said you that I am a super nerdy tv series-addicted?), I could not resist.
And so here they are the main characters, heores and villains, of Pinocchio, Alice and Ariel's stories. What do you think about them?

Un traguardo importante come la lurea va assolutamente celebrato, anche con un piccolo oggetto che ci ricordi la grande soddisfazione di quel momento.
Questa statuina (di circa 8 cm) nasce proprio con questo scopo, spero riesca nell'intento.

An important achievement as your own graduation must be absolutely celebrated, even with a small object that reminds you the great satisfaction of that moment.
This little statue (about 8 cm) is born with this purpose, I hope it will reach the goal.
