Un compleanno ricco di emozioni

Chi mi segue su Facebook o Instagram avrà già visto una marea di foto di questo cake topper, compresi vari scatti dei "work in progress" di ogni singolo personaggio. Anche sul blog, a dire il vero, nella sezione dedicata ai dolci, ho pubblicato ormai da qualche giorno la foto della torta su cui campeggia in bella mostra; mancava, però, la foto ufficiale, per cui eccolo qui, il cake topper con tutti  i personaggi(o quasi, mia figlia mi ha fatto notare che manca Bing Bong, l'amico immaginario della protagonista) del film Pixar Inside Out.

Those of you who follow me on Facebook or Instagram maybe have already seen a lot of pictures of this cake topper, including various single character work in progress shots. Also on the blog, to tell the truth, in the "sweetness" section, I have already published the picture of the cake but I was missing the official one, so here it is, the cake topper with all the Pixar movie Inside Out characters (or nearly, my daughter pointed out that there is not Bing Bong, the protagonist's imaginary friend).

Durante l'inverno, quando uno dei malanni di Bea ci ha costrette a casa per qualche giorno, abbiamo visto e rivisto questo film insieme fino a non poterne più(almeno io, lei credo avrebbe continuato all'infinito), quindi conosciamo benissimo Gioia, Tristezza, Rabbia, Disgusto e Paura, e per Bea, veder prendere loro forma, è stata davvero un'emozione! Parlava con loro come se fossero reali e si aspettava sempre che rispondessero(ovviamente solo per divertirsi sentendomi imitarne le voci, proprio come faccio tutte le millemila volte che le leggo il loro libro - perchè sì, noi abbiamo anche il libro delle emozioni ovviamente!).

During the past winter, when we have been forced home for a few days because Bea was sick, we have watched this film together over and over again, so we know very well Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear, and Bea, seeing them taking shape, was so excited! She spoke with them as if they were actual, and always expecting them to answer(of course just to have fun by me imitating their voices, just like all the several times I read their book - because, yes, we also have the emotions book of course!).

Ci sono anche i pensierini per gli ospiti: in un negozio di casalinghi vicino casa ho trovato delle adorabili scatoline a forma di cuore il cui coperchio si prestava perfettamente ad essere decorato. Ho così avuto l'idea di farlo col nome e gli anni della festeggiata scritti su una base nei colori del film. All'interno ho messo tante gomme da masticare, di quelle a forma di palline, sempre nei colori delle varie emozioni: nel film, infatti, i ricordi sono rappresentati proprio così, come delle sfere colorate secondo l'emozione che più li caratterizza. Non è stata un'idea carina? 

And here there are the souvenirs for guests: in a household goods store near home I have found some adorable heart-shaped boxes with a lid perfect to be decorated. So I had the idea to do it with my little one name and age written on a base in the same colors of the emotions. I put in them some ball shaped chewing gums, they were in the emotions colors too: in the film, in fact, memories are represented just like that, balls colored according to the emotion that characterizes them the most. It was a nice idea, wasn't it?
