This is Halloween...

Lo so che ormai siamo quasi a Natale, però questi mostrini di Halloween ci tenevano a farsi conoscere anche qui sul blog e così prima che partissero si sono messi in posa per una foto...mostruosa(aggettivo indicatissimo a definire le mie capacità in campo fotografico)!

L'ispirazione viene ancora una volta dai Morning Scribbles di Chris Ryniak.

I know we are almost at Christmas, but these Halloween monsters wanted to be known here on the blog too and so before they left they posed for a pic...a monstrous one(I'm a bad photographer, you know by now)!

Tante nuove bimbe

Queste bimbe le ho realizzate nel corso degli ultimi mesi, sono tutte ispirate a delle Blythe custom, mi sono divertita molto a lavorarci e mi è venuta anche una bella idea per un progetto futuro...chissà se troverò il tempo di dargli forma!

I have made these girls over the last few months, they are all inspired by custom Blythe dolls, I had a lot of fun working on them and I also came up with a nice idea for a future project ... who knows if I will be able to find the time for shaping it!

Se lo sposo è un po' nerd...

Un ritorno al mio vecchio stile per questi sposini di qualche mese fa: mi è stato espressamente chiesto di realizzarli come nei miei primi topper, un po' più "fumettosi", e direi che la scelta ben si addice alla simpatica scena che hanno voluto rappresentassi, uno sposino super-nerd e una sposina che cerca disperatamente di tirarlo via dal pc...mmmm questa scena mi è un po' familiare...

A return to my old style for these newlyweds I made a few months ago: I was expressly asked to make them as in my first cake toppers, a little more "cartoonish", and I must say the choice is well suited to the nice scene they wanted me to represent, a super-nerdy groom and a bride trying desperately to get him far from the pc ... mmmm this scene is a bit familiar to me ...

Super Mario Bros.

Chi non ha mai giocato almeno una volta nella vita ad uno dei videogiochi della saga di Super Mario? Riconosco che, pur non essendo un'amante del genere, i personaggi sono troppo simpatici per non adorarli, e poi ormai è uno stra-cult che ha resistito negli anni conquistando grandi e piccini (persino il mio ometto di tre anni sa già chi sono Mario e Luigi!)! E a voi piacciono? e che ne dite di questo cake topper a loro ispirato?

Who hasn't played one of the Super Mario saga videogames at least once in his life? Although I'm not a lover of this kind of videogames, I must say the characters are too nice not to adore them, and then it is now a stra-cult that has resisted over the years conquering young and old (even my three years old boy knows who Mario and Luigi are!). And what about you? do you like them? and this cake topper?

Prima comunione

Questo mini topper era tra i (tantissimi!!!) lavori che ho ancora da mostrarvi: realizzato ormai più di un anno fa per una prima comunione, mi sarà d'ispirazione l'anno prossimo, quando mi toccherà pensare al cake topper per la prima comunione della mia principessa.

This cake topper was among the (sooo many!!!) works I still have to show you: made more than a year ago for a first communion, it will inspire me next year, when I will have to think about the cake topper for my princess' first communion.

Uccellini e novità...

In questi giorni ho avuto un po' di tempo per creare liberamente e, visto che più di un mese fa mi ero dedicata a mettere il progetto su carta, ho finalmente realizzato questi adorabili uccellini dalle codine dondolanti. Qual è il vostro preferito? Io adoro l'espressione del pappagallino bianco, è così dolce!

During these days I had some time to create and, since more than a month ago I realized some sketches  on paper, I finally made these adorable little birds with swinging tails. What is your favorite? I love the white budgie expression, it's so sweet!

Se siete degli attenti osservatori avrete notato che dalla sidebar è sparito il riferimento al mio Misshobby: questo perchè lo store è stato sospeso e rimarrà tale visto che non intendo abbonarmi. Vi spiego: quando fui contattata diversi anni fa per aprire un account sul neonato sito mi fu proposto lo store gratuito per sempre(fatte salve eventuali commissioni sulle vendite) mentre ora, all'improvviso e senza neanche avvisarmi, hanno cambiato le carte in tavolta decidendo che, se voglio continuare a tenere aperta l'"esposizione"(perchè, di fatto, per me è solo quello visto che non vendo proprio nulla) devo pagare una certa quota...poco male, per me possono anche chiudere tutto, fortunatamente la rete offre tante alternative (e pure con maggiore visibilità!), per non parlare del fatto che ricevo con una certa frequenza inviti ad unirmi in via del tutto gratuita a piattaforme analoghe pensate per gli artigiani e i creativi e non le ho mai prese in considerazione principalmente per pigrizia e poi perchè di fatto questo per me è poco più di un hobby e non ho mai ritenuto fosse il caso di investire tempo nella progettazione di un nuovo spazio. Bon, diciamo che però la chiusura improvvisa e non comunicata(perchè ho dovuto contattarli io per sapere perchè avessero sospeso la pagina) mi ha lasciata un po' piccata e così ho colto la palla al balzo per approdare su Bigcartel anche se solo con pochissime creazioni(tra cui i nuovi pappagallini!). Passate a dare uno sguardo, magari prima o poi riesco anche a dare un aspetto accattivante alla pagina, per ora è decisamente spartana ma offre comunque un canale di comunicazione ulteriore che di questi tempi non fa mai male!!!

If you are a keen observer you will have noticed that the reference to my Misshobby has disappeared from the sidebar: this is because the store has been suspended and will remain so since I do not intend to pay for subscribing. Let me explain: when I was asked several years ago to open an account on the newborn site, I was offered the free store forever (except for any commissions on sales) while now, suddenly and without warning me, they changed their mind by deciding that, if I want to continue to keep the "exhibition" open (because, in fact, for me it is only about that since I do not sell anything there) I have to pay a certain fee ... never mind, for me they can also close everything, fortunately the network offers so many alternatives (even with greater visibility!), not to mention the fact that I frequently receive invitations to join, completely free of charge, similar platforms designed for artisans and creatives and I have always declined them mainly for laziness and then because this activity is just a beloved hobby for me and I never felt it was appropriate to invest time in the design of a new space. Ok, let's say that the sudden and not communicated closure (because I had to contact them to find out why they had suspended the page) left me a bit disappointed and so I seized the occasion to land on Bigcartel even if only with very few creations (including the new budgies!). Come and take a look, maybe sooner or later I could also give a captivating aspect to the page, for now it is decidedly spartan but still offers a further communication channel that never hurts !!!

Nuovi sposini, nuovo stile

Mi è stato chiesto di realizzare un cake topper nuziale in uno stile un po' diverso dal mio solito e devo dire che ho adorato il risultato finale, in foto non rendono bene ma dal vivo sono carinissimi(evviva la modestia, eheheh). Non ci crederete ma stavolta la parte più complicata da realizzare è stata l'abito dello sposino per il quale ho cercato di rendere al meglio l'effetto del tessuto damascato blu: dite che sono riuscita nell'intento? 

I was asked to make a wedding cake topper in a style that is slightly different from my usual one and I loved the final result, in the pics they don't look as good as they are, so  cute! This time the most complicated part to make was the groom's suit for which I tried to replicate the effect of the blue damask fabric: do you think I succeeded in doing it?

 

Pippi Calzelunghe

Da piccolissima adoravo Pippi Calzelunghe, la sua vita senza regole e senza adulti, la sua magia...quando mi è stato chiesto questo ciondolo mi sono ritrovata subito a canticchiarne il motivetto della sigla: voi lo ricordate? 

"Pippi, Pippi, Pippi, che nome, fa un po' ridere, ma voi riderete per quello che farò!..."

Ah, bei tempi!

As a child I loved Pippi Longstocking, her life without rules and without adults, her magic ... when I was asked for this pendant I immediately found myself singing the (italian) theme song: 

"Pippi, Pippi, Pippi, che nome, fa un po' ridere, ma voi riderete per quello che farò!..."

Ah, good times!

Api e coccinelle

Ehilà!?! C'è nessuno? Io sono qui, anche se non sembra. Il lockdown ha risucchiato tutte le mie energie e, pur continuando a creare per alcune amiche e per i miei bimbi, non sono riuscita a fare altro, nemmeno aggiornare il blog. Non vi prometto recuperi miracolosi ma almeno inizio a mostrarvi qualcosa: quest'apina e questa coccinella così particolari sono una richiesta che mi è stata fatta e di cui mi sono innamorata, soprattutto dell'ape, ho fatto molta fatica a lasciarla "volare via"!

Hello!?!Is anybody there? I am here, even if it doesn't seem like it. The lockdown destroyed all my energies and, while continuing to create for some friends and for my children, I was unable to do anything else, not even update the blog. I do not promise miraculous recoveries but at least I begin to show you something: this bee and this ladybug are a request that was made to me and which I fell in love with, especially the bee, I had a hard time letting it "fly away"!

La Gabbianella e il Gatto

 Proprio in questi giorni di didattica a distanza mia figlia ha letto un brano del racconto di Sepulveda "Storia di una gabbianella e del gatto che le insegnò a volare". Ho così ricordato questo quadrettino che si ispira proprio al cartone della gabbianella e il gatto e mi sono decisa a pubblicarne la foto: vi piace?

Just in these days of distance learning my daughter read a passage from the "Story of a seagull and the cat that taught her to fly" by Sepulveda. So I remembered this little picture that is inspired by the cartoon of the seagull and the cat and I decided to publish the photo: do you like it?

I love pugs

Ho trascurato il blog per ben tre mesi, mesi intensi, in cui ho lavorato a diversi progetti che vorrei condividere con voi (nonostante abbia ancora creazioni dell'anno scorso da pubblicare, sono imperdonabile). 

Comincio col mostrarvi questa piccola statuina che rappresenta un cagnolino di una razza che mi fa letteralmente impazzire, i carlini. Li trovo adorabili, con quel musetto buffo, mi piacerebbe un sacco prenderne uno con noi ma per il momento non si può, speriamo in futuro. Intanto mi accontento di questa riproduzione cicciosa, a voi piace?

I neglected the blog for three months, intense months, in which I worked on several projects that I would like to share with you (although I still have creations from last year to publish, I'm inexcusable).

I begin by showing you this small figurine that represents a dog of a breed that literally drives me crazy, the pugs. I find them adorable, with that funny face, I would love to take one with us but for the moment it is not possible, let's hope in the future. Meanwhile, I'm happy with this chubby reproduction, do you like it?
