La vigilia di Natale è qui!!! Oggi preparativi per il cenone e l'arrivo di Babbo Natale, non c'è molto tempo per tutto il resto ma l'ultimo post dell'avvento non poteva mancare! Christmas Eve is here!!! Today just preparations for the traditional dinner and Santa Claus arrival, there is not much time for everything else but the last advent post could not be missed! Ultimo giorno di lavoro per me, poi mi godrò le vacanze in famiglia, il caminetto acceso, i pomeriggi di gioco e magari anche un po' di tempo in più per creare! Last day of work for me, then I'll enjoy the holidays with family, the fireplace, the afternoons playing games and maybe some time to create! What plans do you have for this Christmas? Ricordate il cake topper che ho preparato per il primo compleanno del mio piccoletto? Questo è simile ma realizzato per un altro bimbo: occhi e capelli diversi, stessa posa da baby boss!

Do you remember the cake topper I made for my little guy's first birthday? This is similar but made for another child: different eyes and hair, same baby boss attitude!

 Quello che vi mostro oggi è un lavoro custom che risale esattamente a due anni fa: una sorta di action figure che combina un personaggio di One Piece, un minaccioso Kozuki Oden, con la riproduzione stilizzata e fumettosa di un ragazzo che cerca di scappare da lui(chissà che storia c'è dietro?!?). Lavori come questo sono sempre impegnativi ma danno tante soddisfazioni, anche quando i corrieri ce la mettono tutta, ahimè, per distruggerli...

What I'm showing you today is a custom work that dates back to exactly two years ago: a sort of action figure that combines a character from One Piece, a menacing Kozuki Oden, with the stylized and cartoony reproduction of a boy trying to escape from him (who knows what's the story behind it?!?). Jobs like this one are always challenging but they bring a lot of gratifications, even when the carriers do their best to destroy them...

Vi ho mai detto che nella mia top ten natalizia, tra "Jingle Bells Rock" e "All I want for Christmas", c'è la zenzerosissima canzone di Elio e le Storie Tese? Questo mostriciattolo ispirato ai Morning Scribbles di Chris Ryniak mi ha fatto subito venire in mente proprio "Natale allo zenzero", l'ho realizzato canticchiandola tutto il tempo. Voi la conoscete? 

Did I ever tell you that in my Christmas top ten, between "Jingle Bells Rock" and "All I want for Christmas", there is the very gingery song by Elio e le Storie Tese? This little monster inspired by Chris Ryniak's Morning Scribbles immediately reminded me "Natale allo zenzero", I worked on it singing all the time!

Madrigals!

Come vi avevo promesso nella sezione dedicata ai dolci, eccovi finalmente le foto del cake topper che ho realizzato per il decimo compleanno di mia figlia: ci sono Mirabel(con i ritrovati occhiali!), Luisa e Isabela. Quanto ho amato il film, le sue musiche e i suoi colori, è stata una gioia riviverlo un po' riproducendone i personaggi al suono di "non si nomina Bruno"!

As promised, finally here they are  the photos of the cake topper I made for my daughter's tenth birthday: there are Mirabel (with her glasses!), Luisa and Isabela. I loved the film so much, its music and its colours, it was a joy to relive it a bit by reproducing its characters while listening "we don't talk about Bruno"!

Mostrini golosoni - parte II

Come promesso, ecco il resto della ciurma: cominciamo proprio dal mio preferito, vi avevo detto che era in questa seconda tranche, no? Ebbene sì, il mio comfort food per eccellenza è senza dubbio la pizza(e dire che, prima di scoprire di essere celiaca, la snobbavo quasi) e qui ho ben due mostrini che ne sono ghiotti! 

As promised, here it is the rest of the crew: let's start with my favorite, I told you it was in this second group, didn't I? Well yes, my comfort food is undoubtedly pizza (do you know? before discovering I was celiac, I used to  snub it!) and here I have two little monsters loving it!

Quest'ultimo accompagnato anche da tanti simpaticissimi pomodorini!

This one accompanied by a lot of very nice cherry tomatoes!

Pur non amando particolarmente la tipica colazione uova e pancetta, questo dolcissimo mostriciattolo mi ha conquistata, non volevo lasciarlo andare!!!

While not particularly in love with the typical bacon and eggs breakfast, this sweet little monster won me over, I didn't want to let him go!!!

E poi una carrellata di golosoni da competizione: torta, caramelle, biscotti, donuts e gelati, ce n'è per tutti gusti!

And then a roundup of super gluttons: cake, candies, biscuits, donuts and ice cream, there is something for everyone!

E per finire, un bel panino con tanto di olivina, fettina di cetriolo e ketchup: che ve ne pare? Non è adorabile?

And finally, a nice sandwich with olivine, a slice of cucumber and ketchup: what do you think? Isn't he lovely?

Mostrini golosoni - parte I

Questo post è dedicato ad una carrellata di lavori tutti ispirati ai Morning Scribbles di Chris Ryniak: tanti mostrini golosoni che sono solo una parte di quelli che ho realizzato negli ultimi due anni. Ce ne sono per tutti i gusti, dall'amante del formaggio a quello dei donuts passando per il sushi e persino per le verdure! Voi in quale vi riconoscete maggiormente? Io sono senza dubbio una tipa da donuts e dolci, anche se non disdegno il pop corn, ma vedrete il mio preferito solo nel prossimo post...

This post is dedicated to some works all inspired by Chris Ryniak's Morning Scribbles: many greedy little monsters that are only a part of those I made in the last two years. There is something for all tastes, from the cheese lover to the donuts one through sushi and even vegetables! Which one do you identify with the most? I am undoubtedly a donuts and sweets girl, even if I like popcorn too, but you will see my favorite one only in the next post...

Allora, cominciamo? Lui adora il pane e, a giudicare dal suo bel grembiulino, è anche bravissimo a prepararlo!

So, let's get started? He loves bread and, judging by his nice apron, he's also great at making it!

Lui, invece, ama talmente il formaggio da travestirsi da topolino!

On the other hand, he loves cheese so much that he disguises himself as a mouse!

Se anche a voi la mattina non si può rivolgere la parola prima del caffè, sicuramente vi piacerà lui!
