In zona Cesarini, perchè oggi è stata una giornata che definire impegnativa è decisamente riduttivo, vi mostro una creazione che tenevo in serbo proprio per il giorno di San Patrizio: si ispira a uno dei Morning Scribbles di Chris Ryniak, l'ennesimo suo delizioso mostrino.

At the last minute, because today was a really challenging day, I show you a creation that I was keeping in store for St. Patrick's Day: it is inspired by one of Chris Ryniak's Morning Scribbles, another delicious little monster.

Musica e gufi

Questa è una di quelle creazioni che mi è dispiaciuto tantissimo lasciare perchè, una volta completata, mi ha letteralmente rapita. Forse per i colori, lo sguardo dolce o le lentiggini(che amo!),  non saprei dire il perchè, ma avrei proprio voluto tenerla per me. E a voi piace?

This one is among those creations that I was very sorry to leave because, once completed, I litterally fell in love with it. Maybe for the colors, the sweet look or the freckles (that I love!), I don't know why, but I really wanted to keep it for myself. And what about you? do you like it as much as I do?

Altra challenge su Instagram cui ho preso parte di recente: adoro dare forma con le paste polimeriche alle illustrazioni che mi colpiscono e questo lavoro digitale dell'artista Risotoo è sicuramente tra queste. L'artista si è ispirato al folklore giapponese, in particolare ad uno spirito conosciuto come Yuki-Onna, per la sua Oyuki, spirito solitario che appare solo nei paesaggi innevati, amante del silenzio assoluto che regna quando la terra è ricoperta dal suo bianco manto: molto suggestivo, non trovate?

Another Instagram challenge I recently took part in: I love giving shape with polymer clay to the illustrations that strike me and this digital work by Risotoo is certainly one of them. The artist was inspired by Japanese folklore, in particular by a spirit known as Yuki-Onna, for his Oyuki, a solitary spirit who only appears in snowy landscapes, a lover of the absolute silence that reigns when the earth is wrapped in its white coat: very suggestive, isn't it?

Questo mese è iniziato il nuovo anno lunare, l'anno della tigre, e ho voluto celebrarlo anch'io partecipando ad una challenge su Instagram, il "draw this in your style" della bravissima Carlianne Tipsey.

This month the lunar new year has begun, the year of the tiger, and I wanted to celebrate it too by taking part to an Instagram challenge, the "draw this in your style" by the talented Carlianne Tipsey.

Un bassotto freddoloso

Questo buffo ciondolo è ispirato ad un'illustrazione simpaticissima che mi hanno chiesto di riprodurre in 3D: un cagnolino freddoloso...come lo capisco! Io vorrei che l'estate durasse tutto l'anno(e mi ritrovo invece a vivere in una delle province più fredde d'Italia, me tapina!). 

E voi, quale stagione preferite?

This funny pendant is inspired by a very nice illustration of which was asked me to make a 3D version: a chilly dog...I really can understand it! I would like summer lasting all year(and instead I'm living in one of the coldest provinces of Italy, poor me!).

Pizza hawaiana, sì o no?

Orbene, io ve lo dico, l'ananas sulla pizza no! Ricordo quando bimba vidi per la prima volta la pizza hawaiana servita proprio nel ristorante in cui lavorava il mio papà dove mi spiegarono che si vendeva molto, soprattutto ai clienti stranieri, quindi doveva essere nel menu. Incredula, pensai "contenti loro..."

A parte gli scherzi, so che a tanti piace, anche italiani, quindi ben venga l'ananas sulla pizza se incontra i vostri gusti ma io preferisco rimanere sul classico e mangiarmi una bella margherita, appuntamento fisso del mio sabato sera(ovviamente senza glutine e quasi sempre homemade)! Nonostante le mie preferenze culinarie(di cui son sicura vi importi ben poco ma ho voluto comunque rendervi partecipi) quando mi hanno chiesto di realizzare questo simpatico ciondolo mi è spuntato un bel sorriso al ricordo dell'effetto che fece sulla piccola me la scoperta dell'insolito abbinamento.

Ma ditemi, voi siete nel gruppo dei pro o dei contro?

Well, I'm telling you, pineapple on pizza definitely not! I remember when, as a child, I saw Hawaiian pizza for the first time, it was served right in the restaurant where my dad worked and there they explained to me that it was a great success, especially among foreign customers, so it had to be on the menu. Incredulous, I thought "if they are happy this way..."

Joking aside, I know that many people like it, even among Italians, so pineapple on pizza is welcome if you like it but I prefer a classic "margherita", a fixed appointment on my Saturday evening (obviously gluten-free and almost always homemade)! Despite my culinary preferences (of which I am sure you don't care at all but I still wanted to share them with you) when it was asked me to make this nice pendant, I smiled at the memory of the effect that unusual combination had on me as a little girl.

Gelati!

Una piccola richiesta che mi è stata fatta, appetitosi e buffi gelati animati. Non so voi ma io adoro il gelato, nel mio frigo non manca mai una bella scorta, nemmeno in inverno! 

I made these appetizing and funny animated ice creams by request. I don't know about you but I love ice cream, a good supply is never missing in my fridge, not even in winter!
